How To Play Beer Pong:

Requirements

22 plastic cups (*Dixie!*16-20oz.)
4+ Table Tennis Balls
4 Participants

Set Up

Place beer pong cups on table and arrange in a triangular shape. Four cups in the back row, three in the next row up, two in the row after that, and one at the top (As Shown). Then use any kind of drink to add into the cups. You do not have to play this game with alcoholic beverages, this can be a family event.

Set up the water cups (aka "rinse cup") on the four corners of the table. If a mistrown ball lands on the floor, you want to dunk the beer pong balls to wash off any dirt from the floor.

How To Play

Once your selected rules have been chosen, you simply throw until the other team has no cups left. One turn consists of each team member shooting.

SOME RULES MAY NOT APPLY TO YOUR PREFERENCE OF PLAY...ALL "HOUSE RULES" HAVE THEIR OWN VARIATIONS...

Rules:

  • If you knock a cup off of the table when shooting, the cup counts as a made shot.

  • To begin the game the opponents look into each others eyes (NO LOOKING AT THE CUPS) while shooting. If Team A makes it but Team B misses, Team A gets to go first. But if both teams make it into an opposing cup it's their teammates turns to look into each others eyes... This continues until only one team makes it into a cup
  • If a shot is made, opposing team drinks that cup
  • When one team has made all ten cups, the opposing team must drink the remaining cups on the winning side
  • If both shots are made, the balls come back
  • Bounce shots are worth two cups, however, a bounce shot can be swatted or caught
  • Only girls blow, guys don’t
  • When six or three cups remain they are rearranged in a pyramid. This is called a "re-rack." The team must call for a re-rack to get one.
  • If a team swats a non-bounce shot, they must drink two of their own cups as a penalty
  • Rebuttal: Once a team has made all 10, the other team now enters sudden death. They must make all remaining shots on the table, consecutively. If they fail, the game is over and they must drink all cups remaining BEFORE the start of sudden death. If they succeed, the winning team must drink all cups except one, and then a 1 on 1 overtime occurs with the same rules as regulation.
  • When the final cup is hit, if the second player hasn't hit yet he can shoot and if he hits the other team is denied redemption. This is also the case if the last two cups are hit consecutively to end the game. If the second player misses, redemption is earned. The team plays the same way with each player taking a shot and both players must hit to get it back. If one player misses and more than one cup remains the game ends.
  • No rebuttal occurs when: 1) a team makes 2 shots consecutively to end the game 2) if 2 bounce shots are made in one turn to end the game, or 3) if a bounce and a regular throw are made.
  • Winners stay, losers rerack
  • When one cup remains, it is centered and the back of the table. Again this must be called for by the team shooting at it.
  • Once a ball hits something (table, cup, wall, ceiling, etc.) the ball can be grabbed or swatted by the defending team. however, if it goes in, it still counts.
  • If a cup is knocked over by the ball or the team controlling the cup, it is removed from the game.
  • If goaltending occurs, a cup is removed from the game and the tending player is shunned. If it is not clear whether the ball was over the table and there is no impartial spectator to make a ruling, the ball is rethrown.
  • Goaltending IS allowed if the team fails to wash the ball before shooting. The ball is then washed and a do-over occurs.
  • In the case of a shutout or if one player is unable to hit, that player/team must sit under the table in shame for the next game.
  • As the game approaches its end, whoever's next on the table fills the pitcher if there is a keg or gets cans of beer if that is all that's available.
  • While waving hands over cups is very gay, it is allowed. My experience, however, has shown it provides more incentive to hit to further embarrass the waving player. Yelling in mid-shot is also considered gay, but there are no rules preventing it as of now.
